About Us

Megaroller HDPE Rollers are an innovation in reinforced high-density polyethylene (HDPE) conveyor rollers. Utilising Megaroller’s unique design and incorporating our patented Sealing Arrangement, Bearing and Seal Housing, and Roller Shell, Megaroller HDPE Rollers are a robust, long-lasting, and ecologically-sound alternative to conventional steel rollers. All plastic components have been designed in-house and are produced in our factory.

Now a fifth generation product, the main purpose behind the design of the MegaRoller was to:

  • develop a roller, using the latest technology and advanced materials;
  • maximise the efficiency of each element within the roller
  • produce a roller which, in the event of eventual bearing failure, would not cause any damage to the conveyor belting
  • supply a roller that consistently performs regardless of extreme environmental changes, harsh working conditions and the problem of chemical and coastal conditions
  • sell a roller that surpasses the standards, specifications and the requirements of the end user.

Megaroller Africa History

  • In 1982 Mr. J Roman designed and manufactured the World’s first heavy-duty High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Roller. It was introduced into the market as the “Africa Roller” and the “Roman Roller”.
  • In June 2005, Roman sold the business and it evolved into the current multi-faceted, multi-franchise conveyor components manufacturer.
  • Stock holding limitations and an ever-increasing demand for our products internationally saw the establishment of licensed franchise production facilities in Australia, Chile, Canada, and now Ghana.

Megaroller Africa Facilities

Megaroller Africa’s primary production facility is located in Brits, North West Province, South Africa. The area is known as the Bushveld Complex and it is the world’s largest layered intrusion which plays host to over half of the planets platinum, chromium, vanadium and refractory minerals.

The plant boasts state-of-the-art equipment and a custom-built manufacturing line which is operated according to stringent quality standards. We have the capability to supply the market with leading production times. The plant currently have a capacity of 20 000 rollers per month. We are in the process of expanding our capacity to 30 000 roller per month.
